Khaleesi is Kristine Albrecht's most decorated variety. It won the ADS Derrill W. Hart Medal in 2018, the one award here we can state flatly because dahlia.org confirms it, and Albrecht's own site adds a 2023 Stanley Johnson Medal and a 2024 Les Connell Medal. It reached retail catalogs around 2019 after earlier ADS trial seasons. Albrecht breeds in Santa Cruz, California on a quarter acre and does not sell tubers herself. The KA's prefix is a trademarked breeding line, propagated and sold through licensed partner farms like Stonehouse Dahlias and Triple Wren. A clean white giant with award hardware behind it is a rare thing, and the sellouts show it. If you want one true showpiece dahlia, this is the consensus pick.

Khaleesi is a giant informal decorative, ADS class AA, with blooms reported around 10 to 11 inches and sometimes pushed to 11 or 12 in good conditions. A flower that size needs serious support, so stake every plant and disbud hard to one bloom per stem if you want the full dinnerplate scale. Plants run about 54 inches. Give it room, rich soil, and steady water, since a stressed giant throws smaller, looser flowers. Stems are strong for the bloom size, which retailers cite alongside long vase life claims, though we have not seen a sourced day count.
