Gitts Perfection
ADS color class light blend: soft pink petals that melt to a creamy white center. The gradient is gentle enough that the whole bloom reads as one luminous wash of blush.

Why people hunt it
The Gitts name belongs to the family behind Swan Island Dahlias, and this variety carries it, though we could not source a specific breeder credit or introduction year from the records available. The market situation is easier to document. Swan Island sold out and pushed new orders to spring 2027, and on DahliaAddict five of seven listed suppliers showed sold out. A blush giant fading to cream is the exact center of current wedding taste, and supply of any giant builds slowly; big plants make fewer divisions. Patience or a waitlist is the price of perfection here.
Growing notes, including the hard parts
DahliaAddict classes Gitts Perfection as a large informal decorative in a light blend, with vendors describing blooms around 10 inches. Treat it as a full dinnerplate project: individual stakes, early pinch, and serious disbudding for the biggest heads. Light blends bleach in extreme sun and mark easily in rain, so harvest ahead of weather and consider shade cloth where summers are harsh. The soft pink-to-cream gradient makes it one of the most photographed giants in wedding work, and a single stem carries an arrangement. Otto's Thrill is the practical fallback, a similar-scale pink dinnerplate with far easier availability, though it runs warmer rose without the cream heart.
